The Reality of the World

I honestly don't even know how to start this without getting angry.

I'm so devasted by how the world is treating innocent human beings.

I'm so devasted by how people are being ignorant to the truth.

I'm so devasted by how people can so easily support the oppressors.

I'm so devasted by how people are supporting the right side but are getting attacked for it.

Before I begin, if the colleges I have applied to or are applying to in the future are reading this, I want you to read the entire thing before clicking off.

I want to clarify my standing. I support Palestine and I believe Palestine will be free one day. Yes, I am a Bangladeshi Muslim. I don't support Palestine just because of my religion. I'm not even Palestinian. I support Palestine because I am a human being. Which some people cannot say about themselves.

As a high school senior, I have already applied to some colleges and plan on applying to more. If colleges see this post and reject my application solely because I believe the Palestinian genocide is inhumane and Palestine deserves to be free, that's fine. I wouldn't want to be at a place where I feel unsafe. You shouldn't be preaching about diversity if you cannot even keep your students safe.

75 years of occupation is not a silly matter. It's not just some story that has been made up by people for kicks.

75 years of occupation means endless suffering, hurt, loss, and so much more that many people choose not to understand because they are heartless souls.

I've seen many people getting literally ASSAULTED in America for supporting Palestine, and some of these happened at universities. I see how cruel this world is, and though all of the information and factual evidence is right before our eyes, some people still believe Israel is right.

It's absolutely disgusting.

Supporting Palestine does not make me anti-semitic. Condemning Israel's actions does not make me anti-semitic. I don't even believe you truly know what anti-semitism even is if you think that.

Semites include Jewish people AND Arabs. Think before you just plainly throw out words.

I care about everyone, no matter their beliefs. I just do not support Israel and anyone who supports Israel.

And if that were the case, would it make sense to call you Islamophobic, since many Palestinians are Muslims? To be honest, at this point, it's starting to seem that way.

Because how, after tens of thousands of people in Palestine have been killed, have there been no consequences for Israel?

I can probably take a guess, and you all know it too. Brown people, especially brown Muslims, will always be hated on.

How can you call Muslims terrorists but then kill and literally terrorize brown people everyday? I'm sure many of you have seen the news where a white man shot three Palestinian boys who were doing absolutely nothing but walking and speaking to each other. I'm sure you have seen the news where that Palestinian mother and her son got brutally attacked inside their own home. I'm sure you have seen the news where a pregnant Palestinian woman was walking with her children on their way to school and being stabbed to death by a man.

But guess what they all have in common, according to the officials? They all have a "mental illness." Yeah, because they're white. They wouldn't be called terrorists. That's apparently reserved for the brown people due to 9/11. They generalize and stereotype all brown people and Muslims as terrorists but when their people commit a crime, it's a mental illness.

How hypocritcal.

I cannot express the amount of times I have sobbed to all the pain and suffering I have watched the people of Palestine go through. I want to apologize to the people of Palestine on this cruel world's behalf.

I'm so sorry we have failed you, Palestine. I'm so sorry we couldn't do more. I'm so sorry that so many children have to go through such tragedies when you're supposed to enjoy your youth. I'm so sorry that all of you are dying and our leaders are doing nothing. I'm sorry they have no heart.

History is always repeating itself. We all know about the Holocaust.

One day, when the genocide of Palestine is written in history books, to all the people who preached their support for Israel, I better not hear you switch sides.

Because unlike the past, you have a digital footprint. You will not be able to lie to your future children and grandchildren about your "support" towards Palestine.

Do not act as if you were on the right side the entire time. Do not act as if you were wishing death upon the Palestinian people and cheering on Israel bombing them. Your digital footprint is there.

Again, if colleges see this, I hope you have the heart to understand everything. This isn't some game. I want people to take action, do everything in their power, to raise awareness on this issue. This is real.

Imagine if this were to happen to you. People in Palestine don't have to imagine, they are currently going through it.

That's all I have today. Please, take the time to educate yourselves and stop believing lies. The truth is in front of our eyes. The Palestinian journalists, who are risking their lives to document everything and expose the truth, are showing us what Israel is doing to them. They cannot make any of this up.

Just please. Do something.
