Hello, everyone! I hope you all are doing well!

I've recently finished reading the book "One Last Stop" by Casey McQuiston, and I have a lot to say.

I suppose I can begin with that fact that I bought this book TWO years ago and haven't read it until January of 2023. Yeah...I bought this in 2021 and didn't read it until now.

There's a reason for that, though. A very valid reason, in my very honest opinion.

To start things off, I think this book was wonderful. I would rate it a 4 out of 5 stars. There are a few reasons as to why I took off one star, and this is me being very generous, or else I probably would have given it a 3.5 out of 5.

When I first bought this book, I also had bought Casey McQuiston's other book, "Red, White, and Royal Blue" at the same time.

I first read "Red, White, and Royal Blue" and I absolutely loved that book. However, the chapters were too long for my liking, which is why I lost any motivation at all to start reading "One Last Stop."

Hence why I didn't pick up "One Last Stop" until now, since I knew this book would most likely have very long chapters as well.

I love books where the chapters are pretty short. This is because I HAVE to finish the chapter before I put down the book.

Though, I had to pause myself multiple times within the chapter because it was too long and I couldn't sit through the entire chapter due to me suddenly having to finish another task, or me simply losing motivation to continue reading.

That didn't stop me from continuing the book, altogether. I think McQuiston is an incredible writer and her works move me in a way that I haven't been moved before while reading. I love her descriptive words and how she is able to convey such emotion through her characters.

The only complaint I have are the long chapters.

When I began reading the book, I was super excited because I finally picked it up after two years. However, once I started, the beginning was extremely slow. There wasn't any plot at the beginning, and I believe the long chapters were a factor.

But after a few chapters, maybe like two or three, we finally got into the actual plot and it was starting to get good from there. There were a few times in the middle of the book where it got slow once again, which caused me to put down the book and continue it another time as I lost the motivation, but it was worth reading all the way until the end.

I think the characters really made reading the book worth it. My favorite character has to be Wes because of his sarcastic personality and he's overall, a really unintentionally funny guy. He is very humorous without even trying and I love that about him.

The main characters, Jane and August, are super cute. There was a scene that caught me off guard and I had to mentally backtrack because I was shocked. Though, I wasn't surprised because I had a feeling it would happen as it kind of occurred in the book "Red, White, and Royal Blue," I was still taken aback. The scene wasn't bad, though, don't worry. And if you have read the book, I'm referring to the train scene.

Overall, this book was fantastic and I recommend it if you're looking for a sapphic, science fiction kind of book. The plot was very interesting and incredible and I definitely wanted to know more as I kept reading.

Don't let the long chapters fool you into thinking it's not worth it. It's definitely worth it. I just have a preference for shorter chapters. That's not me saying that it's a bad book. It's a GREAT book and I recommend it to anyone.

Anyway, that's all for this post. Make sure to check the book out if you haven't read it, and read "Red, White, and Royal Blue" because I loved that book to the max.
