I've read the book "Better Than the Movies" a few months ago because I've seen it everywhere on social media.
I didn't understand the hype about it so I decided to give it a try.
Was it worth it?
...
YES.
I'm pretty sure I kept kicking my feet and giggling in every single scene, especially during Liz and Wes' interactions.
Another adorable book couple to check off my list.
Lynn Painter, you are incredible. All the characters are so detailed and I love all of their personalities.
Liz is so me. Like I want to find a handsome man just like you see in those rom-com movies and have them treat me like I'm a queen. I have such high expectations.
No spoilers but this book is like your typical childhood enemies to lovers romance. It's a romantic comedy so even better.
We all know the drill by now. The guy and the girl are sworn enemies since they where children because the guy did something to upset the girl and the girl ends up hating his guts but what she doesn't know is that the guy is head over heels in love with her and then they grow up, lots of drama occurs, and they end up together.
And I eat it up. Every. Single. Time.
I would say though, it's technically not "enemies" to lovers. I feel like for it to count as "enemies", both of them have to actually HATE each other and want to kill each other. Like they don't have feelings from the beginning, they only develop those feelings over time and then become lovers.
Nonetheless, this was a really cute book.
This is a first person point of view from Liz's perspective. I would've loved to see a dual POV including Wes' perspective, as well!
I'm going to keep this pretty short and sweet.
I give the book a 5/5 stars! Incredible, fantastic, stunning, jaw-dropping, magnificent...
I could go on.
Romance books like this are what keeps me going. If you don't know, I'm a big fan of mystery novels and I occasionally read romance books, so this was a really good book in my personal opinion.
I may have shed a tear or two as well.
So, if you haven't read the book yet and are wondering if you should, then please do!
It's so worth it!
You'll love all of the characters and their character development. I literally read this book in a day!
I don't have much to say as I don't have any complaints about this book. So overall, this was a pretty enjoyable book!
That's all for this post! Take care, lovelies!
