I don't know if many of you know, but I am Holly Jackson's number one fan. I am so IN LOVE with the "A Good Girl's Guide to Murder" trilogy. I have been an OG fan of the books since 2021, way earlier than the announcement of the upcoming TV show.

When I found out about the news of the TV show, I had mixed feelings about it. Of course, I absolutely would love to see my favorite characters on the screen, but at the same time, I feel as though some people would ruin it by not even reading the books and try to change what will happen.

I am a 100% books over films/movies girl and I will stand by this until the day I die. I always believe the books are much more incredible than the adaptation. I am still the same with AGGGTM as well, despite the show not even releasing yet.

Also, the actors casted for Pip and Ravi? Ravishing (You'll understand this joke if you read the books). Holly Jackson is literally remarkable. She has already done such a fantastic job with the casting!

Now, I think we should actually talk about the books and how Holly Jackson has created a thrilling universe with the most creative plot twists I have seen. No spoilers, of course.

When I first bought the books, I didn't know the original version was British, so I only got ahold of the American version because I live in America. However, I do want to buy the original books because I would like to see the differences and actually read it the way it was released. Perhaps when I have enough money to buy duplicates of the books, I'll definitely get the British version!

I read all three books in only three days. My favorite characters ever, Pippa Fitz-Amobi and Ravi Singh, are the most cutest and precious fictional characters I have encountered in my life. Ravi Singh is the best book boyfriend in the history of books (in my opinion) and he deserves the world. Pippa is such a talented and fascinating main character and I love everything about her. These two are insanely intelligent and they work great together.

I really love the way Holly Jackson has created their dynamic and the personalities fit so well with one another. She has really ruined any other couple for me and I'm not even upset about that. My standards are so high because of Ravi Singh.

If you have not read the books and don't know much about them, then here is my short description.

The first book is about a seventeen year old girl named Pippa, who begins her senior school project and decides to focus on a murder that occurred five years in the past. A popular girl named Andie Bell was murdered by her boyfriend, Sal Singh, who committed suicide after killing her. However, there were many holes in the case and Pippa wasn't so convinced Sal was the murderer. She uses the school project as an excuse to dig deeper and teams up with Sal's younger brother, Ravi Singh, to uncover the dark truth.

The murderer is revealed at the end of the book, but that's not all. There is a second and a third book, all connected in some way. The plot twists in all three books are unbelievable and I was suspecting absolutely everyone the entire time.

These are my favorite books in the entire world. I have always been a mystery genre fan, but these books really got me out of a reading slump and had me starting reading so much more. It's why I love mystery so much.

If I had the money, I'd buy so many more books and fill up my entire room. If only.

Holly Jackson is my all-time favorite author, so I will automatically buy any book she releases right off the bat. She recently released another mystery book called "Five Survive" and man, was it a thrilling experience. The plot twist, the characters, and entire book...Just wow.

If you're still not convinced in reading the AGGGTM series, I'll try my best to persuade you. But honestly, how could you still not read it after so many people have said they're SO worth it and how they're literally the best books?

Ravi Singh is South Asian, which obviously made me fall in love with him even more as I am a South Asian girl myself. It's so rare to see representation of our own race, let alone in books written by white authors, so respect to Holly Jackson. She's done a wonderful job writing him.

Though in high school, Pippa, a SEVENTEEN YEAR OLD, was able to solve a dark case that the police couldn't even solve. If that isn't enough reason to have you read the books, I don't know what is.

There are many details from the first book that will pop up again in the second and third book, but mostly the third book. While I was reading them, I was so shocked that I couldn't believe what I was reading.

Also, if you do read the books, make sure you read the third book alone because I can guarantee you that you will BAWL YOUR EYES OUT. Trust me. Read it alone, especially the ending. You will be sobbing.

There is so much character development in all of the characters. There are characters that will have you cheering for them, characters that will make you want to rip your hair out, and some characters that will make you want to do what Pip does in the last book. No, I will not spoil what she does. You will have to find out for yourself by reading all three books.

The title, "A Good Girl's Guide to Murder", is so clever. Even though it's a long title, the title fits the series so well and will have you understand at the end of the series on why it's named this way.

This blog post has turned out longer than I expected so I'm going to stop right here. I hope I was able to convince you to read the books if you haven't done so already, and if you have read the books, I think we can all agree that this series was the best thing to ever be released.

Thank you Holly Jackson for creating such masterpieces. I am extremely excited to watch the adaptation of the books!

P.S. I'd love to be a background character in the show (I'm totally kidding...Unless...)
